Photo Friday - Week 19

Another in my regular one-day-too-late series of Photo Friday pics, here's one I took at Fingringhoe Wick during my 'Beyond The Basics' photography workshop today - thanks to Martin for pointing out this dragonfly exuvia to me. :-)

Just a quick one from Colchester Zoo today, once again, a bit late for a Photo Friday, but never mind...

Photo Friday - Week 17

One from a trip to Norfolk last year, taken at Norfolk Wildlife Trust's Hickling Broad Nature Reserve, I liked the Crab Spider patiently waiting for its next meal, and its position maintained the symmetry of the daisy.  Pity about that little black flower beetle though...

Pentax K-5, Sigma EX 105mm f/2.8 lens @ f/5.6, 1/250s, +1.0EV, ISO400, handheld.

I found this one again whilst looking through photos to update my Close-up and Macro Nature Photography workshop, of which the first one of this year is on Sunday.  You can see the dates for the rest of the year here.

Joe Cornish Video

Thanks to Outdoor Photography magazine for pointing out this video on the Guardian website; Alastair Sawday follows renowned landscape photographer Joe Cornish on a day's shooting around Yorkshire.  For those moaning about the recent weather, note you can get great photos in all conditions. ;-)

Photo Friday - Week 16

Sorry, missed Friday again, so here's a belated Photo Friday from Colchester Zoo a couple of weeks back.  Converted to black and white in Lightroom, just because I wanted to.  I've found I'm converting a lot more images to mono now that I'm using Lightroom, as the presets are very good, and easy to experiment with.  In the 'old days' of Capture One and Elements, I'd have to do all the conversion myself and it was less user friendly.
