Great Picture.I love the warmth of the subject. The different shades in the background, I find a distraction. I wish I could produce such a great portrait.
Kind regards,
Tim.

Thanks Tim, it was a grab shot at a wedding, so I didn't have much choice about the background, but to be honest I hadn't considered it a distraction.

I definitely feel it caught the mischievous twinkle in his eye though. :-)

All the best,
Daniel

I am just learning about Photography.Am I correct in thinking, that the background, can be made uniform in "Photoshop"?

Yes, it can be, but it's much easier to get it right when you're taking it. ;-)

But either selecting and blurring the background more, or just 'painting' in a uniform colour, or selectively lightening the darker areas would do, but it would be of a hassle to get it looking spot on. And the worst thing I think is badly done photoshopping!
